SEQRID provides valuable information for first responders in various emergency situations. The SEQRID concept comes from many years’ experience in rescue services and is designed to help both those in need and first responders to act as effectively and purposefully as possible in what can be an exceptional situation.
What is SEQRID?
SEQRID gives users a personal passport that links online information to various SEQRID-compatible products such as a wristband. The passport contains information about the individual's name, a photo, and information about whom to contact in case of emergency. Users can also decide to provide other information they believe relevant in case of an emergency, such as date of birth, allergies, or other relevant medical information.
First responders can use smartphones or tablets to access the passport. By definition, an emergency does not necessarily have to be of a medical nature. It can also be a child who is lost or someone who does not understand the local language.
